Why H.E.A.R.T. SEL Workbooks?
|
The H.E.A.R.T. SEL Workbooks were designed as two-stage curriculum to provide students with approachable, enjoyable and comprehensive understanding of social-emotional learning skills that improve the way they treat themselves and others. In the first workbook, students familiarize themselves with the 5 core HEART values through games, activities, writing prompts, self-assessments and more. In the second workbook, students apply the 5 core HEART values towards relevant experiences that adolescents face, from using social media and building healthy relationships, to building a growth mindset and planning their future.
The combination provides a well-rounded approach to social emotional learning, both conceptually and pragmatically. The curriculum is also aligned with CASEL Core Competencies to ensure it meets curriculum requirements. Students in elementary school are often just scratching the surface with social-emotional learning skills. That is why we designed this program for middle-school aged students, so they can begin truly understanding and applying social-emotional learning skills and principles into their lives and seeing instant results! |
