Why H.E.A.R.T. SEL Workbooks?
The H.E.A.R.T. SEL Workbooks were designed as two-stage curriculum to provide students with approachable, enjoyable and comprehensive understanding of social-emotional learning skills that improve the way they treat themselves and others. In the first workbook, students familiarize themselves with the 5 core HEART values through games, activities, writing prompts, self-assessments and more. In the second workbook, students apply the 5 core HEART values towards relevant experiences that adolescents face, from using social media and building healthy relationships, to building a growth mindset and planning their future.
The combination provides a well-rounded approach to social emotional learning, both conceptually and pragmatically. The curriculum is also aligned with CASEL Core Competencies to ensure it meets curriculum requirements. |
